Most of my horse paintings feature my "INCOGNITO HORSES". These paintings are bright and bold. Movement and energy is quite evIdent. What is also fun is the texture most of the paintings have. Some have thick coatings of gesso, an art primer with the consistency of then plaster that when it dries cracks and leaves a flowing texture. I then mix sand and brush fibers into the paint. You're looking at a contemporary cave painting.
These horses get their trademark look from horses depicted in a cave drawing in North Africa. This artist saw Roman chariot horses that seemed to fly. Those horses also had and as chariot horse do, they had blinders. My horses escaped their bindings but kept their blinders (as depicted by the bars over their eyes). The blinders add to the sense of freedom that being INCOGNITO can provide.
