It's not often that there is a theme (Irish Soda Bread) match the dog so perfectly.
A type of Irish Soda Bread is called Wheaten Bread.
Wheaten Bread and Wheaten dogs are from the north part of Ireland.
Both were for the peasants. Wheaten bread was a peasant bread and Wheaten Terriers were generally farm or peasant dogs with the wealthy preferring other breeds.
This painting is on stretched gallery wrapped canvas. The sides are painted (the painting is about 1 1/2" deep. It can be hung as is or you can have it framed. The materials and paint are of the highest quality and is coated with a polymer varnish for extra surface and color protection. Under normal conditions, this painting will be in great condition for many, many life times.
